When Sergio climbed back up the chimney to give the all-clear, Rin, Bobo, Ella, Jagger, and Finn brought the presents through the back door, which had been left unlocked. Rin snickered at all the soot on Sergio’s elf clothes, while Finn grabbed a brush and dusted him off. At a crack from the logs in the fireplace, Ella scampered and hid behind a present. Jagger found the milk and cookies left out for Santa, and decided it was time for a midnight snack. Bobo helped put out the gifts, then warmed his tail-feathers in front of the fire. And Rin swung up the garland to check out the wreath. The critters were all pleased with the job they had done and were sure the next home would be just as much fun.

Sergio’s fur was covered from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
Rin and Bobo had brought the Toys through the back,
While Jagger thought it was high time for a snack.
