Put Me In Coach

SoftballBeing a professional in any field takes hard work, dedication, and more patience than most of us want to admit is required. As a writer, I have always approached my work from a professional aspect, and realize nothing in the publishing industry is overnight. I am, and have been, in it for the long haul, which means I have been writing, honing my craft, and being open to opportunities which have come my way, waiting for the moment… not to say I have arrived, but that I am on my way. Yesterday, I received THE call… the BIG one … from my agent extraordinaire, Italia Gandolfo. I feel like a little league player who just got called up to the BIGS!

All right, I’m the player in the dugout with the helmet on backwards, who jetted onto the field without her mitt and had to go back for it… but none of that matters — I’m ready. Put me in coach!! I’ve put my game face on and I’m ready to play.

I cannot thank Italia enough for the opportunity she has given me, or for her ninja negotiating skills. I know this is rather a vague post, and I can’t wait to share the details … SOON!!

Spread the love
