But enough of that… let’s get down to what this post is about — Tattered!

What do Sunday afternoon court proceedings, cheerleader tryouts, and a book burning have in common? Katie McCabe is back in action.

After her nemesis Harvey is found guilty and sentenced to community service, Katie wants to believe her troubles are over, but Harvey won’t rest until he gets revenge. When blackmail rears its ugly head, she’s caught between friends and enemies putting her growing relationship with Tom at stake. Books go up in flames and Katie’s world rains down in tatters.

Each of the stops along the way will introduce you to the characters you will find in Tattered and Katie is very excited because she will get to do most of the commentary about the people you will meet within the pages. Speaking of which, since today’s puzzle is a picture of Katie, I’d better say a little something about her. Katie is at bottom, a good girl, but she tends to get in a lot of trouble… sometimes through no fault of her own, but usually, she has a hand in it. She is impulsive, has a good sense of humor, is loyal to her friends, and has a good heart. Her main goal? To figure out this thing called life. But you’ll get to know a lot more about her during the tour. Now for the stops:

**Note** All winners must have a US or Canada mailing address — but comments from all countries are welcome.

  1. I love it when authors get creative to promote themselves/book AND when it’s a collaborative effort. I’m so flagging this under my “How to market myself and my book” tabs. And, i will be jumping to all the blogs, collecting my code.

    1. This was fun for me. That little moment where the puzzle idea popped into my head was magic. 🙂 I love when things like that happen. And YES!!! collaboration is the best. Because it gives me a chance to shout out about my friends and their work too.

  2. I’m so excited about this giveaway! I posted about it on Google+ and I’m sharing it with all my friends I can. Congrats on the release of your third book in the series! I look foward to reading it.

  3. This is a fun and creative way to promote your book. I’ve never embarked on a “puzzle tour” before but it’s great. I wish there was more like it. Congratulations on your release LK!

  4. Oh, silly me, I didn’t comment here before. But now I am! :] Is the girl in this puzzle the same as the cover model? I can’t tell. Actually, I was wondering about all of the pictures. Did you just look around for pictures of people who look like your characters, or how did you get them? the puzzles are so fun. :]

    1. Yes, the girl in the cover picture and this one are the same girl. In fact, the puzzle on this page has the picture that I used in the 2nd book in the series. I had a stroke of luck finding the pictures of this girl through the creative commons site and they were given a CC license to use distribute and modify. The photographer took a lot of shots of her, so I snatched those I thought I would be able to use for covers, and it is working out well so far.

On the other pics, with the exception of Harvey, I picked up from dreamstime.com. And yes, I searched for those which looked like the characters. Although, when I found Sunny’s picture, I hadn’t realized she had the pink in her hair, but once I saw the pic, it was instant recognition. And it helped me with something in the plot for Tattered. But you’ll have to read it to see what 😉

  5. I’ve tweeted and shared this on Google+ trying to get all my friends to enter!
